“I would like to bring to your attention a remarkable musician that you may already know, Mauro Valli, a Baroque cellist (he also plays 5 string violoncello piccolo and modern) that I find extraordinary, indeed one of the greatest today. I received a CD from him with as yet unpublished songs by Angelo Berardi (Baroque musician from Ravenna but operating in the vicinity of Rome, an important theoretician, whose music is practically unknown today). They are beautiful compositions, and, in my opinion, performed with great imagination, vision and knowledge. [showhide]Mauro Valli has given me this CD with a beautifully recorded master. He has practically created a world premiere recording! He is a special person, generous and with an ancient and healthy bond with nature and is at home – according to me – both in the “continuo” and solo worlds. Berardi’s recording has charmed me as much as Alessandro Scarlatti’s sonatas performed by Dantone (already available).[/showhide]

My gesture is absolutely spontaneous and driven by the power of music and the execution.”
